Places to Go
Many of our residents enjoy the fascinating theater, concert and planetarium shows at Young Harris College. YHC is a small, private college with a beautiful campus to walk on and has a wonderful cafeteria for the public to enjoy on Sundays.
If you like wine, then you will love Crane Creek Vineyards. This gorgeous winery has incredible views and many acres of rolling hills filled with bountiful grapes each year. They host free events during the that are packed with locals and visitors from all over. They also offer wine and appetizers every Friday evening, for a special night out.
Brasstown Valley Resort & Spa is a first-class resort. Brasstown Valley Resort has pampering spa services and a fine dining restaurant and a downstairs bar. They also offer horseback riding and have an elite 18-hole golf course.
In addition, The Ridges Resort & Marina is located right on Lake Chatuge. In this area, you can partake in boating, jet skiing, water skiing, fishing and more. The neighboring restaurant hosts concerts and events as well. Another amazing place to enjoy the beauty of the lake and rent a boat is Boundary Waters Resort & Marina.
In addition, the local towns host festivals, events, arts and crafts fairs and contra dancing at locations like the John C. Campbell Folk School, Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Meek’s Park and surrounding town squares.

If you’re looking for a challenge, try hiking on the Appalachian Trail, Arkaquah Trail, Raven Cliff Falls, Tallulah Gorge State Park, Panther Creek Falls and countless others!
